School Sustainability Lead – Lewis Green

Letchmore Infants’ & Nursery School is dedicated to fostering children’s awareness of the world around them and their responsibility for it. In light of the pressing challenges posed by climate change, we acknowledge the important role we play in both educating future generations and actively supporting a more sustainable future. Our Climate Action Plan sets out our strategic response to climate change within our school community and beyond. Our goal is to create a greener, healthier learning environment while fostering environmental responsibility among pupils, staff and the wider community.

Created in line with government guidance on sustainability leadership and educational climate action plans, our Climate Action Plan provides a clear roadmap for our progress toward becoming a resilient, environmentally conscious school.

It demonstrates our commitment to a whole-school approach, embedding environmental responsibility into every part of school life – from teaching and everyday practices to the management of our grounds and our partnership with the wider community.

We understand that addressing climate change is an ongoing process that requires collective effort.
