Letchmore Infants' and Nursery School is a County Infant and Nursery School in the North Hertfordshire Area of the Hertfordshire County Education Authority.

It is co-educational for children aged 3 - 7 years and has a self-contained Nursery Unit providing for 72 part-time nursery pupils.

The total number on roll varies from 210 - 260 rising throughout the school year. The school is usually oversubscribed in the number of applications for admission, due to its excellent reputation within the town and the overall achievement of its pupils.

The majority of pupils transfer to our linked junior school, Almond Hill Junior School, when moving from Year 2 to Year 3.

Although Letchmore Infants and Almond Hill Junior Schools each have their own Governing Body, liaison with Almond Hill in terms of curriculum and staff is regarded as an important aspect of the link between the schools.
