Science

at Letchmore Infants' and Nursery School

Introduction

At Letchmore we aim to provide children with an awe-inspiring Science curriculum which equips children with the scientific skills and knowledge for their lives now and in the future.

Each month we will introduce a ‘Scientist of the month’ and Science dates for the diary, as well as links and ideas to have a go at home.

Science Through Stories

Mr. Green is very excited to start a new monthly Science learning project called ‘Science through Stories’. Every month he will choose a story book and link it to some appropriate Science activities that can be completed at home.

Each month Mr Green will share a video link to somebody reading the story on

YouTube, and give some suggested activities, but of course you may be able to think of your own activities to try. Mr Green would love to see any fantastic learning that the children complete and you can send him a picture to barnowl@letchmore.herts.sch.uk

For September we will start with ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley.’
