Design a Recycling Monster Competition for Reception, Year 1 & Year 2

Design a recycling monster competition for Reception, Year 1 & Year 2

In our school we currently recycle batteries, paper/card, hard plastics and now soft plastics.

In order to raise the profile of recycling within our school environment, we would like the children to design a recycling monster for each type of material that we recycle.

We would like –

  1. a paper monster
  2. a hard plastics monster
  3. a soft plastics monster

The children’s designs should be in the format of a drawing.  Perhaps the monster could have a speech bubble saying “I love eating paper, yum! yum!” or something along those lines.

We will choose one winning entry for each type of monster, and a small prize will be awarded for the winning selections.  The winning designs will be reproduced and displayed around the school to help the children remember to recycle.

You may find ‘Draw with Rob’ useful on YouTube to give you some ideas and handy drawing tips.

Please could you email or pass any entries to Mr Green by 21st December (the last day of term).  Please can the entries state your child’s full name and class.
